European Roller Coverings and Compounds

Excel Polymers produce an extensive range of rubber compounds for roller coverings. It is our conviction that we can produce compounds for any roller covering situation. We manufacture several hundred compounds for roller coverings many of them specific to individual customer/processing needs. We operate and succeed in the most technically and commercially demanding of market places.

44 series roller coverings – Established, proven coating Established, proven coating compound
41 series roller coverings – EPDM / Butyl for superior coating finish
92 series roller coverings – Special blend for extreme solvent resistance
76 series roller coverings – Nitrile compound for superior physical properties
95 series roller coverings – Advanced EPDM for high speed coating performance

EPDM and BUTYL / EPDM blends for roller coverings offer excellent resistance to the solvents used in metal coating lacquers. Where the highest solvent resistance is required, the 92 series gives the best resistance to lacquers with a higher aromatic content.

The 76 series Nitrile compounds are chosen for high severity applications where superior physical properties are required.
Painting and lacquering of steel, aluminium or other metal sheet requires a totally clean roller surface. The smallest imperfection on the roller will show as a repeat mark down the sheet. All Vita-Calender compounds are mixed in clean conditions and all compounds for coating are strained through extremely fine mesh sieves.

European Rubber Sheeting

Our vast technical expertise and knowledge is applied to particular customer and/or industry requirements. Excel Polymers’ heavy investment in plant and machinery together with our process development program enables us to offer cured sheet with high quality mixing and calendering minimising voids, air pockets etc. The continuous vulcanization process gives extremely accurate gauge and profile across calendered sheeting up to 1850mm wide and down to 0.5mm gauge. 50kg batches. Black, Grey, Drab calendered sheeting and a range of colors in plate and cloth finishes are available.
