EXCEL POLYMERS NAMES NEW DIRECTOR OF TECHNOLOGY

SOLON, Ohio – (OCTOBER 9, 2007) – Excel Polymers LLC announces Partha Mukherjee, Ph.D. has accepted the position of Director of Technology. He will be based in Burton, Ohio, and will be responsible for providing direction and leadership to the company’s global technology team to support Excel's strategy to commercialize innovative and value-added technology around the world.

Rikki Lamba, VP Technology said, “Technology is the key component of Excel's long-term strategy. Mukherjee will play a key role in developing and commercializing new technology.”

Mukherjee brings more than 19 years solid experience in broad cross-functional areas including Business Development, Product and Process Development, Operations, and Customer Service. He was most recently employed as the Technical Director at Duramax, Inc., Middlefield, Ohio, where he was responsible for leading technology activities, including the design, development and successful production launch of new products, materials and processes.  Prior to that he served on the technical staff at the West Pharmaceuticals Services, Inc., Lionville, PA, and as the Technical Director at Lauren Manufacturing Co., New Philadelphia, Ohio.

Mukherjee earned a Ph.D. in Polymer Science from the University of Akron; a M.S. in Polymer Engineering from the University of Akron; a M.S. in Computer Science and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Jadavpur University, India.
