Rikki Lamba Named Vice-President, Technology at Excel Polymers


SOLON, Ohio – (July 2, 2007) – Excel Polymers LLC announces Rikki Lamba has accepted the position of Vice President, Technology.

In this role, Lamba’s focus will be on developing innovative platforms to meet customer requirements. Managing and developing a high-performance team of technologists and technicians, Lamba will drive the global development and implementation of innovative technology for Excel Polymers. Lamba stated that the major factors behind his decision to join Excel Polymers included “Excel’s excellent reputation in rubber compounding and its dedication towards innovation and developing value-added solutions to support growth for customers across the globe”.

Lamba comes to Excel Polymers from Columbian Chemicals Company where he was Vice President, Carbon Black Technology. He also held the positions of Director, Global Marketing (Tire Segment) and Product Scientist (Rubber Carbon Blacks).

Prior to his ten years with Columbian, he was a Principal Scientist and Group Leader, Elastomer Development Laboratory with Haliburton Energy Services in Houston, Texas.

Lamba holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Bombay as well as a Graduateship of the Plastic and Rubber Institute, an Associateship of the London School of Polymer Technology and a doctorate in Polymer Science from the University of Akron.
