Excel POLYMERS APPOINTS JOHN BREITENSTEIN AS VICE-PRESIDENT / GENERAL MANAGER ASIA PACIFIC

 

SOLON, Ohio -- (February 20, 2007) – Excel Polymers LLC today announced  the hiring of John R. Breitenstein as Vice-President  and General Manager of its Asia Pacific operations.

 

Breitenstein will be responsible for the existing (EXLP Global (Shanghai) Co. Ltd.) and developing business operations within the Pacific Rim. He will also assume the role of President of the newly formed joint venture with Mitsui Corporation.  Breitenstein will report to John Quinn, President & CEO of Excel Polymers who comments, “We are excited to have attracted John to these roles and to Excel Polymers as he has extensive experience in the Asia Pacific region when he was President/Managing Director of DuPont Dow Elastomers’ Asia business. John also served in a Global Elastomers Business Director role as well as Director of Strategic Planning position while employed by E.I. DuPont de Nemours & Company.  In his nine years in the Pacific Rim, John was able to significantly grow DDE’s Asia/Pacific revenues and profitability. Additionally, he was able to build a very competitive organization while contributing to the turnaround of the company’s global elastomer business.”

 

Breitenstein holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the Stevens Institute of Technology.  He will be relocating to China later this year.
