| This tool, designed
for use with molded parts up to one-quarter-inch
thick, allows quick-cure conversions
over a wide temperature range.
It is based on the time-temperature
relationship in the vulcanization
process that says when vulcanization
temperature rises, cure time decreases,
and when the vulcanization temperature
falls, cure time increases.
Using the Fahrenheit scale as the
default, this tool shows the temperature
coefficient of vulcanization of 1.5
per 10 degrees F, or using the Celcius
scale, a temperature coefficient of
vulcanization of 2 per every 10 degrees
C. |
