How To Use the Stan-Tone™ Color Chart

The Stan-Tone color selection chart is a tool to assist in selecting the proper colorants for specific applications. Each color chip has a Stan-Tone D or DC number, which refers to the dry pigment. CI numbers refer to the Color Index, the industry’s standard guide. In each pair of color chips, the left sample represents the masstone or full shade, which is the color hue in clear media. The chip on the right shows the relative tint strength using 5 parts TiO2. To view product information, roll over the color you'd like to view and then click on the shade that appears to the right.

This chart represents a small fraction of the colors available. Those depicted may not be an exact match for your requirements, but when PolyOne color experts learn how a color will be used and what materials are involved, they can suggest an appropriate pigment for your specific application. Please contact Excel Polymers for assistance in selecting colors at 1.866.8.HARWICK (1.866.842.7942) or 1.866.414.0146. Stan-Tone™ is a trademark of PolyOne Corporation.
